Free Maths Lessons for Years 5 & 6
To support students who are behind on their studies due to the COVID – 19 lockdown, Petersfield Tutors’ Education Director has recorded five maths lessons which students currently in Year 5 and Year 6 can access for free to keep their brains active over the summer holidays.
The series of lessons covers some of the most important numerical concepts taught at upper Key Stage 2. Written and recorded by Petersfield Tutors founder, Catherine Murphy who has been involved in the development over 30 maths text books as well as online resources for major educational publishers in the UK and Middle East and currently teaches at a local primary school.
The teaching methods used in the videos adhere to national curriculum guidelines and current mathematical practice in UK classrooms. Click here for a short introduction from Catherine.
Before starting each lesson make sure the student has paper and a pencil!
